The Beaches of Helsinki: Aurinkolahti
The Aurinkolahti beach in Vuosaari is one of the finest beaches in Helsinki, the capital region and Finland, and is nicely connected to the Aurinkolahti residential area. Vuosaari is located in the eastern parts of Helsinki.
Aurinkolahti beach is long. It is about 300-400 metres long.
There are both changing rooms and toilets on the beach.
There is a footpath along the beach. This reminds me of another beach I went to photograph that same summer, Coney Island Beach in New York.
There is a harbour on the west side of the beach.
There were small "footprints" on the beach.
A nice lounging cliff separates the two bays of the beach.
On the east side, a channel runs north from the "end" of the beach.
The other photos are from summer 2019, but this photo is from maybe five years ago. This one shows the length of the beach very well. So I'll keep this photo with me.
