Hiking trails of Helsinki Region: Villa Elfvik trail
The nature trail at Villa Elfvik is a beautiful route in Espoo's Laajalahti nature reserve. The actual circular route is probably not much longer than a few kilometers, but there are some great routes heading south towards Otaniemi.
Let's go back to the beginning for a moment. The routes start from the Villa Elfvik Nature House. The parking lots are a few hundred meters away from the Nature House. You can take a bus to the Kehä 1 highway, which is about a kilometer away.
These pictures are from March. It was a beautiful and sunny day.
If you go to the left here, you can get on the circular route. But my path initially led me south towards Otaniemi.
The Laajalahti meadows are beautiful at any time of the year.
Then back to the nature trail. You can walk along the edge of the meadow.
Along the route, you will find the Villa Elfvik birdwatching tower.
Finally, we return to the Nature House.
Basic info of the Villa Elfvik Hiking Trail
- Where to start: From Nature House Villa Elfvik, Elfvikintie 4, 02600 Espoo.
- The route is only about one kilimeter long, and it's easy to walk. But there are other routes into diffrent directions aswell.
