Haukankierros Trail, 4 km Circle Trail in Nuuksio
Haukankierros is one of the circular routes in Nuuksio. The trail is four kilometers long and there are plenty of elevation changes along the way, such as these rocky areas. By the wat, Haukankierros is in english Hawks route.
But let's start from the parking lots. Haukankierros is marked with blue signs. We walked this trail counterclockwise, so we went straight up the stairs to the north from the parking lot.
There are boardwalks in the wettest parts of the trail. These pictures were taken in September when it was still quite dry.
One of the highlights of the trail is a rocky area that opens up to the Myllypuro valley. The views are impressive. Although you mainly see the forest from here, you can really see a lot of it.
Be careful with small children here.
Then back to the trail.
There are stairs in the steepest parts.
At this point, we have covered about half of the four-kilometer trail.
Then we'll arrive to the shore of Haukkalampi from the north. The views are majestic.
Near Haukkalampi, all three circular routes that start from Haukkalampi follow the same paths. So Haukankierros, Korpinkierros, and Punarinnankierros all have a joint part of the route.
You can also find Lake Mustalampi along the trail.
There is also a barbecue spot at the top of the hill.
Finally, the trail leads to the Haukkalampi-center.
You can also swim in Lake Haukkalampi, even in September.
