The Beaches of Helsinki: Munkkiniemi

Munkkiniemi beach is located on the seashore at the end of Laajalahti. The popular beach is maintained by the City of Helsinki. I assume the former lifeguard stand can be seen in front.

In the background, you can see the new changing room building. On the right in front is a street light on the pier, creative. By the way, these last two photos are already years old, but on my most recent visit, I didn't think to take pictures "towards the mainland".

For children, there is a swing and a climbing frame, and in the summer, a kiosk.

To the south, there is more of Helsinki peninsula.
