Beaches in Espoo: Lippajärvi
Lippajärvi beach is located on the shore of the small Lippajärvi lake in Viherlaakso, Espoo. The beach is also known as Viherranta.
Unfortunately, these photos are somewhat misleading. There's no dock at Viherranta anymore.
This issue - docks at the beach - is on my list of things to check and also lobby for. I personally find docks necessary and useful, and it must be ensured that their number does not decrease without separate guidelines.
The beach is one of over 20 maintained by the City of Espoo. Although officially called Lippajärvi beach, it's adjacent to the Viherlaakso residential area. By the way, you can find my photo series of all the swimming beaches in Espoo here.
The water of the small lake is reportedly clean now.
There's a changing room and an outdoor toilet at the beach, but no showers.
