The Beaches of Espoo: Stora Herrö
Depending on the interpretation, there are two or three beaches on Stora Herrö outdoor island. The southeast beaches have barbecue shelters and toilets, and sand is reportedly brought here regularly.
The other beach is just under a hundred meters to the south. Nearby, there is a pier and boat moorings.
There are no showers on Stora Herrö. However, water can be drawn from the wells - not drinkable - so if desired, you can pump well water into buckets and rinse yourself (or your children) with it. This is especially necessary in late summer when there is algae in the water.
Depending on the interpretation, a third beach can also be called a beach, located next to the archipelago boat dock on the northwest side. The bottom has small stones and the beach deepens quickly, but you can still swim there. However, with children, I would go to the other beach on the island.
