The Beaches of Espoo: Tyrskyvuori
Tyrskyvuori Beach is a long and maritime beach located by the sea in Laurinlahti, Espoo. The beach is also known as both Tyrskyvuori and Laurinlahti Beach.
The sand is fine, and the beach is shallow, making it suitable for families with children. Numerous bus lines stop within walking distance.
I'm not sure if jumping from the pier is allowed (I haven't been in the water at that spot), so beware.
Right next to the beach, just tens of meters away from where this photo was taken, are the Tyrskyvuori fitness stairs. If you want to break a sweat before swimming, this is an excellent opportunity.

No controlled area
The beach is one of the busiest of the 3 in the area but different to the Kivenlahti beach, has no life guard, no warning signs and the underaged camp on the surroundings as they wish at any time of the day or the night to behave against the rules. On the platform a specific group of kids don't respect the grown ups laying down, especially if they are elderly and if the grown ups tell them nicely to be more careful these kids even they terrorize them and come sometimes with older youngsters to 'warn you'. Where is the police presence? 40 years on mediterranean sores, even in Africa and never seen this behaviour; never expected in Finnish people.
