The Beaches of Helsinki: Lapinlahti

Lapinlahti beach was long used by the hospital. But since the hospital is no longer there, the beach is freely accessible. I am not sure if the City of Helsinki maintains this beach, or if it is in good condition just due to "old habits."

There are no changing rooms, showers, or toilets. Consider this beach a spot for a quick visit. However, nearby in the main building of the Lapinlahti hospital, there are now cafes and restaurants, where you can stop by. Also for meals.

Majestic industrial scenery.

There are also lawns where you can lie down.

And cliffs where you can relax. The person in the picture is not me.
