The Beaches of Helsinki: Uunisaari
Uunisaari beach is located just a stone's throw away from the southern tip of Helsinki peninsula. The beach is large and well-protected, with the islands shielding it from waves.
In summer, the beach is supervised, and there are showers and toilets available. The beach also features a children's playground and a nearby café.
A charming canal divides Uunisaari, likely aiding in water flow.
Uunisaari can be accessed in the summer by water bus and in the middle of winter across the ice. In between, there's hardly any way to get to Uunisaari.
