The Beaches of Karkkila: Parsilanjärvi

Parsilanjärvi beach is located on the shore of the lake of the same name in Karkkila. The beach is divided into two parts. From the pier, you can access deeper water, and about 50 meters away, there is a shallow sandy beach.

It is about four kilometers from here to Karkkila town center.

Here is a picture from the pier facing east. The shallow sandy beach is behind that peninsula.

The parking lot is on the previously seen peninsula. There you will also find changing booths and an outhouse.

As you can see from the pictures, it is shallow here, making the beach suitable for small children. Parsilanjärvi beach faces north. These pictures are from a hot June afternoon, around one o'clock. The sun doesn't shine on the beach until later in the evening when it turns to the west.
