The Beaches of Karkkila: Vattola (Pyhäjärvi)

One of the finest beaches in Uusimaa is found in Karkkila. Vattola beach on Lake Pyhäjärvi is stunning. There is a diving tower, a couple of piers, a children's playground, and plenty of sunshine.

The beach is located on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi. There is plenty of space to lounge both on the beach and on the grass. Google also recognizes this beach as Pyhäjärvi beach, Karkkila's Pyhäjärvi Vattola. Variations abound.

The second pier has both a diving tower and additional changing booths.

The beach gradually deepens, so even the smallest children can splash around here. However, you can jump into the lake from the ends of the piers.

The "main changing booths" are on the slope above the beach.

Higher up the slope, there are basketball courts, among other things.

There are tennis courts nearby if you want to work up a sweat before swimming.
