The Beaches of Lohja: Routio

Routio beach is a small, charming beach located on the shore of Lake Lohjanjärvi.

The beach has a couple of changing cabins and is sheltered by the forest.

There is a charming peninsula in the background.

Lake Lohjanjärvi is beautiful.

If you happen to visit Tytyri Mine during the summer heat, it's only about a kilometer from here. Lohja city center is a couple of kilometers away.

There is a bajamaja (portable toilet) hidden in the forest, up the hill.

• Tips for swimmers: The beach faces nicely to the south. I can't say how quickly it deepens. There are only a couple of parking spaces along the road, which are not easily noticeable; otherwise, you'll have to walk here from further away.
