The Beaches of Porvoo: Virvik

Virvik beach is located in Porvoo, "behind the golf courses." The center of Porvoo is about a kilometer away to the northwest by road.

There is plenty of space here. I was here on a hot day, but it was already August and a weekday. At least then, it wasn't crowded.

There is also a grilling area.

The parking lot is about a hundred meters away.

In the background, you can see the Virvik golf courses. There is a nice manor where lunch is available.

• Tips for swimmers: The beach faces southeast, so as the evening darkens, the sun turns behind the forest. Nice, maritime beach.
