The Beaches of Espoo: Saarijärvi
The Beach of Saarijärvi is located in Northern Espoo, near the border of Vihti. The lake is shallow with a sandy bottom, so it fit to splash around.
There isn't actual "beach" at all. On the other hand the lake is shallow and sandy, and there are walking paths, changing rooms and toilets....
The lake is partly a nature reserve, and this are is taken care of and is owned by the City of Helsinki. Officially this is part of Vaakkoi outdoor area. The border between Espoo and Vihti is in the middle of the lake.
The beach is also accessible by the public transport. Bus stop is just a few hundred meters from the beach.
