The Beaches of Helsinki: Mustasaari
Mustasaari beach is located on the church's outdoor and camp center island. The island is right next to Kaskisaari, and Lauttasaari is just a stone's throw away.
If you're wondering why there are fences and poles on the beach, an explanation will follow in a few pictures.
Here, a considerable gang of local birds, real rascals, hang out. They would probably blacken the beach overnight with their droppings, and they'd also hang out at the playground.
There are changing rooms and showers available. The island also has a rentable sauna.
There is a playground for children, and adults can enjoy pastries from the café in the villa.
As a highlight, here's a photo of the beach taken from the neighboring island. For a beach located by the sea, this one is very sheltered, with no waves coming from any direction.
