The Beaches of Porvoot: Tervajärvi

The charming Tervajärvi beach is located five kilometers from the center of Porvoo. It offers both a sandy beach and rocks for swimming.

Usually, there aren't this many swimmers here. I visited on what I recall was the hottest day of summer 2020. The crowding already affected taking photos. I always make sure there are no people directly in front and recognizable, etc. But if the beach is completely full, where can you find a spot to take pictures without people in front...

This photo is from higher up the slope. There was a nice rocky area nearby. I later heard that you can also swim on the other side of it - and that you might even be able to jump into the lake from the rock. Next time, then.

You reach the beach via a few hundred meters of walking path. It's about a five-minute walk from the parking lot.
